The Game of Life

A new player has arrived, randomize the board
Will you fail miserably or reap great rewards
Are you going to take the risk and roll the dice
Remember there are no second chances in the game of life

Every spin of the arrow moves you forward never back
Foresight is a skill we all sorely lack
Do you start a family or focus on your career
Time marches ever on while you lie frozen in fear

You have to make a decision the choice is up to you
Just realize once made the other paths seal up behind you
It does not matter whether you are careful or bold
This isn’t a video game, you can’t try over and reload

Try not to treat each turn as one and the same
And don’t ignore the other players in the game
Some will serve as great friends and allies true
While others act as obstacles that try to hinder you

Eventually you will come to the final path of the board
Where you will claim your final reward
Will you go up a level or receive debuffs galore
There remains time yet before you find out what lies in store
